I bought this costume for my 6y daughter's kindergarten party. I didn't want to buy a maxi dress because my daughter has a dozen of them and she can't wear em for playing or going out because as we all know most of the costumes are too fancy to be worn other than occasions except this one which has a pair of pants and it is short and comfortable enough to let kids play or run. At first when I ordered it I was worried about the material but let me assure you that this product has a very fine material. Pants are wonderfully tight and the fabric is a little bit thicker that in silk socks. Your kid can wear this costume in a spring day while sliding or playing in a park. This is one of the best costume I've ever bought for my little one.
