I've been teaching for 5 years now and I'm looking to be more stylish/ fashion forward at work. I think I've been too conservative and it comes off kind of old fashioned. Help!
We are having a Hogwarts-themed lock-in with my Theatre class, 4 of us are representing the Houses. I don't want to wear the complete uniform but a modern version would be nice? I don't like skirts so much, just fyi.
This Friday, my school will have a casual dress day that everybody will wear whatever they want, but my mom said that she wants me to wear my uniform. I have no incentive to wear my uniform. None of my teachers are giving extra credit or anything like that. I asked my mom why she wants me to wear my uniform, she said that I've gotten in trouble too many times for wearing my uniform wrong, and I hadn't earned the privilege of free dress day. She said that it was end of discussion, and if I asked again, I would have to wear my uniform all weekend, too. I really don't want to mess with her, because she is always serious about what she says. But I don't understand why I have to be the only one to wear my uniform! All my friends are wearing what they want, and everybody else is so excited, but I'm going to be the only one stuck in my uniform. Plus, it's going to be so hot wearing the uniform tights and blazers while everyone else will be in short sleeves and bare legs. The uniform is so ugly, too. It's a yellow shirt, green skirt, green tights, black shoes, and a green, yellow, and grey striped blazer. Why is my mom forcing me to wear my uniform? Is this fair? What should I do?
I need some ideas ASAP kus i didnt think i was gonna do anything for halloween but it turns out iam goin trick or treating. it doesnt have to be complicated just something quick and easy that doesnt require to buy anything... i also dont want to look stupid. most ideas are accepted
it's in his parents' backyard at 2pm. She said it wasn't a big formal thing and to dress casually but that just feels wrong. I can pair the skirt with a dozen different kinds of tops. I just don't want to have to buy something new with my tight budget right now. Any ideas? I'm a plus size, and 35 years old, so nothing too trendy or I'll have to go shopping :(
